Planting Flowers with Mommy

When I grow up I wanna be like Daddy!

This week the kids and I are on spring break. Clint is busy farming. Anna, Collin and I started the day off spending time together. However, when we went to visit Clint on the farm Collin ditched me. He wanted to farm with Daddy. Anna and I spent the rest of the day together having mother/daughter time. We fed the ducks, shopped, and worked in the yard. A great day was had by all!

Bayou Academy 2006

Anna was a flower girl during Bayou Academy's homecoming in October. She was flower girl to senior maid, Anne Turner Pentecost. She had such a wonderful time getting her hair and nails done. She loved every minute of it.

Having a Wiggly Good Time

On Feb. 25, Heather and I headed to Starkville, MS with Anna, Collin, and Austin to see The Wiggles. The trip was great. The kids watched every Wiggles dvd we had all the way there. Collin napped, but Anna and Austin were just to excited to sleep. For lunch we ate at McAllisters. It is one of mine and Heather's favorite places to eat. After lunch we headed to MSU to get ready to wiggle. We had time to spare, so we found a beautiful patch of flowers and took some pics of the kids. Finally, the time arrived to head to the show. At 1:00 we got in line waiting for the doors to open. The mob of mommies and daddies with kids in tow was unreal. With a child on each hip and a backpack on my back I waited patiently for the doors to open. Heather also had to hold Austin. There was no way we could let them walk. They would have gotten run over. Finally the doors opened. We found our seats then we were off to the souvenir stand. After buying t-shirts, Captain Feather Sword and Dorothy hats the show began. The gave Dorothy roses and even went to the stage and handed Jeff a bone for Wags. The danced to every song, and yes Heather and I did some dancing ourselves. Did I mention we had Hot Potato Seats? This means we had seats on the floor (row 6). These were awesome seats. Sadly, an hour and a half later the show was over. We all had a wonderful time. Seeing the excitement in the kids faces was well worth the small fortune we spent on the trip. Who knew it would be such a wonderful show. Now all three kids are asking when we are going to see The Wiggles again!!

"Daddy, The Fish Bit Me!"

What started off at 8:00 a.m as a simple father, son fishing trip turned out to be much more than that for the guys. Clint wanted to spen a little quality time with Collin, so he decided to take him on his first fishing trip. After the diaper bag was packed, the life jacket was found, and the spiderman fishing rod was placed in the truck the "men" headed off for the first of many adventures they will share together. They went to Wal-Mart for supplies, then headed to Doddsville to pick up the boat. When they arrived in Doddsville, they found their tackle box was not in the boat. They turned around to head for Micah's to get the tackle box. It has been left there when they cleaned up the boat. Micah and Austin decided to join them for the fishing trip. Back to Wal-Mart for Austin a fishing rod. Now they are ready for the lake. They head for P.D. Lake, which is located in Schlatter, MS. Clint and his father fished on this lake together many times. After they finally get in the lake and begin their day of fishing, guess who showed up? You guessed it, the mommies!! Of course Heather & I would not miss this photo opportunity. We need them for our scrapbooks. Anna went along with us for the ride. While taking the photos Clint managed to get Collin's rod hung in a tree and some how it ended up at the bottom of P.D. Lake. Being the awesome dad Clint is, he stripped down to his boxers and dove in to get it. All was right with the world at this point. The mommies and big sister (Anna) left and headed back to Cleveland. A while later, my cell phone rings. When I answer I hear, "Mommie, the fish bit me." I can not imagine what has happened, but he asks for me to kiss it and put a band aid on it. I assured him when he got home I would kiss it and make it all better. I later find out Collin got a fish hook stuck in his hand. However, I did kiss it and put a band aid on it. Again, all is right with the world. The boys (both small and large) enjoyed a day of fishing and quality time together. Collin assured his daddy he would go fishing with him again, even if the fish do bite!
